This will be the organisation’s first dedicated fundraising role, marking a major step in professionalising ReDI’s resource development. The position will relieve the leadership team from ad hoc fundraising responsibilities and establish structured processes, systems, and donor relationships that secure stable and diversified income.

Expected outcomes from this role are...

  • Diversified and increased income from public, foundation, and EU sources.

  • Strengthened internal fundraising systems and reporting structures.

  • Improved donor retention and relationship management.

  • Enhanced financial resilience and scalability of ReDI School.

Your tasks

1. Fundraising strategy and pipeline management

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy across foundations, corporate donors, and public/EU funding sources.

  • Establish a structured opportunity pipeline and internal coordination processes for concept development, submission, and reporting.

  • Align all fundraising activities with ReDI School’s strategic goals and programmatic priorities in close collaboration with senior management and program leads.

2. Foundation and Corporate fundraising

  • Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with corporate and family foundations aligned with ReDI School’s mission.

  • Design compelling funding proposals and partnership packages tailored to donor priorities.

  • Oversee donor reporting and stewardship to ensure transparency and long-term engagement.

3. Public and EU funding development

  • Identify and pursue funding from local, state (Länder), and federal ministries relevant to education, digitalisation, and integration.

  • Research and coordinate submissions for EU funding opportunities (e.g., ESF+, AMIF), including building partnerships or consortia where relevant.

  • Ensure compliance with funding requirements, budgetary guidelines, and reporting frameworks.

4. Systems, monitoring and reporting

  • Maintain and further develop the CRM-based fundraising system (Salesforce) to manage opportunities, contacts, and impact data.

  • Develop standard templates, monitoring tools, and reporting structures for consistency across the organisation.

  • Provide regular progress reports to the CEO, COO, and Head of Finance on income projections, conversion rates, and pipeline development.

5. Internal collaboration and capacity building

  • Coordinate fundraising, business development, partnerships and communication efforts across the organisation by steering the partnerships, fundraising and communications team.

  • Work closely with ReDI School’s leadership, local heads, and program teams to align funding opportunities with programmatic needs and outcomes.

  • Support capacity building for other staff in fundraising literacy, donor communications, and compliance.

  • Collaborate with the Communications Manager to strengthen visibility for partners through social media, website, and impact dashboards.

Your profile
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in fundraising, business development, or grant management in non-profit, social enterprise, or foundation sectors.

  • Proven track record in securing funds from foundations, corporations, and public/EU donors.

  • Strong proposal writing, budgeting, and project design skills.

  • Deep understanding of the German and European funding landscape, especially EU frameworks such as ESF+ and AMIF.

  • Excellent communication skills in German and English (C1).

  • Strong analytical, organisational, and relationship management skills.

  • Experience in leading teams is a plus.

  • Values-driven approach: reliable, useful, caring, and playful — consistent with ReDI’s core values.
